Anantnag, June 07: Forest division on Sunday have seized a vehicle and have sexed a vehicle and arrested a driver with 1 kgs of dry Morchella esculeta.
A statement issued to KNS reads, on a Specific tip off received by DFO Anantnag, FEROZ Ahmad Chaket Early morning from a reliable source, a Naka was laid near Thajiwara Achabal .
Naka party intercepted a vehicle bearing registration no JK 03E 3288 WAGONR was asked to stop . On checking the vehicle party seized 11 kgs of dry Morchella esculenta ( Guchhies) approx worth Rs 1.80 lacs from one culprit namely Nissar Ahmad Thokar Son of Abdul Khaliq .
Accused was arrested on spot and has been handed over to concerned police station. FIR has been lodged and vehicle along with seized stocks have been carted down to the seizure depot.
Remember, Forest Division Anantnag has geared up against the smugglers who damage medicinal plants and smuggle them.

Meanwhile, Chief conservator of Forests Farooq Ahmed Gillani and Conservator South Tawheed Ahamed Deva have appreciated this action by Anantnag Forest Division.
