BUDGAM, JUNE 09, The VOK Web Desk : On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner (DC), Budgam Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza, a demolition drive against illegal encroachment was today launched by Department of Revenue, Police & Jal Shakti Department in Tehsil Narbal.
The Joint team under the supervision of SDM Beerwah, Aijaz Ahmad Wadoo, accompanied by Tehsildar Narbal, SDPO Magam and officials of Jal shakti Department successfully demolished & removed the decade old illegal encroachment from Annem Khul at many places.
While appreciating the efforts of anti encroachment demolition team, the DC reiterated that such drives will continue in other areas also and added that local administration has already been instructed to formulate a comprehensive plan and identify the spots where such drive is immediately necessitated, keeping in view the ongoing agricultural season and requirements of irrigational facilities.
The locals praised the efforts of joint team for taking such bold initiative as this was the long pending demand of the inhabitants particularly farmers residing in this area receiving irrigation facilities from this khul.
