‘We are following MHA guidelines while handling body of deceased COVID victim’

: The Central Reserve Paramilitary Force (CRPF) has decided to perform the last rites of its first Covid causality in Kashmir only and not to send the body of deceased to his native village.
“We are going to follow Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) guidelines in spirit while dealing with the body of deceased CRPF man,” said Assistant Commandant and CRPF spokesman for (operations) in Kashmir, Junaid Khan told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). “The deceased CRPF man will be cremated in Kashmir only while following the proper protocol.”
Earlier in the day, CRPF man died at SKIMS, Soura. He was Covid infectant. The deceased is the first Covid victim in CRPF since the outbreak of pandemic in J&K—(KNO)
