Corruption, fake promises, dishonesty, and growing mistrust between people and politicians responsible of under development of Kashmir region
Sonawari, 5th June, : BJP Leader from Sonawari Fayaz Parray on Friday said that every regional party is raising hues and cries over the detention of their leaders but queries regarding their incompetent governance have been lacking on a major scale.
In a statement issued to CNS he said that Thousands of crores have been allotted to MLA’s, MLC’s and MPS’s in the form of constituency Development fund from 2014 alone but very little can be seen on ground.
“The whereabouts of that money is a matter of investigation of which, as a common man and a responsible tax payer, I too have every right to know. Had the money been utilized properly, the development scenario of the region would have been in stark contrast with the current state of ruins it is in.
Talking about Sonawari constituency alone, he said that a brief account of miss-governance, dishonesty and corruption is very explicit in the contemptuous and pathetic condition of roads and other infrastructure.
He said, “I appeal LG administration to constitute an independent investigation team and bring truth forth the demanding public as soon as possible.”
He further stated that Kashmiri politicians have double standards. They have been playing India-Pakistan game with their own people.
“While in power, they are pro-India and when in opposition, the same politicians suddenly become pro-Pak. They have always played with the sentiments of people”, he said.
“People are actually being robbed and fooled with this indo-Pak foul.” He added that all the assets of MLAs and MLCs and their supporters should be verified and thorough investigation should be carried out in utilization of their allotted funds at earliest and truth should be made public.”
He further stated that the wrong policies of successive regional governments have pushed youth to the wall and this growing alienation has resulted in unrest in the region.
Virtually, there is uncertainty all around, “I don’t think GOI needs to keep these untrustworthy minds in custody anymore as they have lost all their trustworthiness, therefore new young age and educated politicians should be encouraged to lead the state.”
He urged LG administration to pay necessary incentives to the educated unemployed youth and carryout fast track recruitment process in Sonawari constituency.
“We have a large number of highly educated youth who are unemployed and, to some extent, are feeling stressed and frustrated now. Even the parents are unsure about the future of their children. Therefore I believe, the only way to restore peace here is to bring youth out of this stressful state by providing them more and more job opportunities.
“Locking them for crimes that they have been forced to commit, is going to fetch no results”, he said
“Corrupt politicians and their dishonest workers, who have time and again robbed people, should be jailed for their Corruption crimes” he added. (CNS)
