Srinagar July 10 : Spreading it area of influence, Coronavirus has infected at least three Kashmiris from media fraternity.
Sources told news gathering agency that at least three journalists have tested positive for deadly Covid-19 in Kashmir within last one week.
The infected include a video journalist, who tested positive last week.
According to sources, the said video journalist is asymptomatic and has been restricted to quarantine.
Another journalist from north Kashmir, working with a local daily was tested positive on Thursday.
He too has been referred to administrative quarantine.
The third one testing positive for the virus is also from north Kashmir. He swabs were taken, after he complained of breathlessness, which returned positive for the infection. The shocking development has brought to fore the fact that how vulnerable is the journalist fraternity to fall prey to the infection and has raised the importance for the media personnel to follow the preventive measures, while performing their professional duties.
