ADC Kupwara reviews sample collection in Red Zone Areas

Kupwara, July 05: Additional Deputy Commissioner(ADC), Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone today convened a meeting of all concerned officers to review the progress of sample collection from Red Zone areas as per set target in the district.
It was informed that the District Administration had earlier issued SOPs for aggressive sampling of morbid, old age people, pregnant ladies, service providers and contacts of positive cases in Containment and Red zone areas. It was also informed that target of 300 sample collection was set in the district on daily basis, of which 100 samples had to be collected from Red Zone areas.
In order to achieve the set target of sample collection, the ADC constitued District and Tehsil level Committes who will ensure the target collection of samples on daily basis in containment and Red Zone areas.
The District Level Committe(DLC) constitutes District Health Officer, Abdul Gani Dar, two KAS officers, Jehangir Ahmad & Mohammed Iqbal and District Superintendent , Control Room Kupwara. The DLC will collect feedback on daily basis from Tehsil Level Committes and can denotify any containment zone accordingly.
Similarly, Tehsil Level Committes(TLC) were framed which shall comprise of concerned Tehsildar, BMO, SHO and BDC Chairperson. The TLC will have to make sample collection in containment zones as per the targets prescribed by the District Control Room on daily basis.
On the occasion, the ADC stressed upon the concerned officers to speed up the pace of sample collection in containment zones on priority basis to prevent further spread of COVID -19.
District Health Officer, Abdul Gani Dar; Tehsildars, Block Medical Officers and other concerned attended the meeting.
