British Prime Minister Boris Johnson visited a school where he took part in a classroom lesson and interacted with school children in Kent, Monday, July 20.
Johnson’s visit to the Discovery School comes as the government announced schools would receive a 2% increase in funding next year.
According to the Department for Education, the $3 billion increase will mean at least a 3% rise in funding per pupil for the majority of local authorities.
The government on Monday said it would be compulsory to send children back to school starting in September and warned that failure to do so could result in a fine.
