Kupwara, July 20 : Large number of people from Devar Lolab area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara town were seen busy enjoying picnic and arranging wazwan in such a dangerous scenario when Coronavirus positive cases are on rise.
Local sources told news agency KNT that scores of people form Devar Lolab were seen busy enjoying picnic. Even children were part of the picnic group.
“People decided to enjoy picnic when everyone is suffering from mental agony. We arranged Wazwan as well and will enjoying at picturesque Nagamarg,” said a man part of the group.
Another elderly man said that they are here to enjoy nature.
Most of the people including children were seen not wearing masks and even not maintaining social distance.
“Is the lockdown only for us? When non-locals can arrive in buses here and Yatris visiting Amarnath Cave, why you are targeting us only,” said a young man.
When contacted, an official from administration said that they are unaware about the incident.
Pertinently, there is lockdown in wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. People are being advised to stay at homes and wear masks. (KNT)
