Drug peddler arrested in Budgam, 101 kgs poppy straw seized
Srinagar, July 31: In a major breakthrough, Budgam police in its war against drug dealings have arrested a notorious drug peddler and 101 KGS of Poppy Straw recovered.
SHO PS Budgam along with police party during night patrolling in Budgam area, intercepted a vehicle bearing registered No.JK04C-8410. During search of said vehicle, 12 bags of poppy straw weighing 101 kgs were recovered and one person on board identified as Mohd Yaseen Dar S/o Abdul Ahad Dar R/o Sholipora, Budgam was arrested.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the accused person is supplying drugs among the youth of area.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 302/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in PS Budgam and investigation taken up.
