Sogam’s Infectious water causing mayhem and is putting lives of residents on risk,Administration paying no-heed:-Er Mudasir
21-July-20 , The VOK Web Desk :-Er Mudasir acclaimed Social activist and President Lolab youth organisation along with civil society members of Sogam visited Sheikh-Nard And Sari-Nad Water source from which the densely populated Sogam Lolab is getting drinking water.From few weeks maximum of population are complaining of infections and other water borne disease.While talking to Er Mudasir he said “actually from few weeks we saw many people of the area visiting hospital for same reasons.At first instance I thought it is may be covid or high temperature effect.Then I spoke to few doctors they told that maximum visitors are having water-borne diseases.Then I thought of visiting the source of water.Around 20-30 persons accompanied me to Sheikh-Nard and Sari-Nad in the Upper reaches of sogam forests.When we reached their all we saw was literally fearsome the filth drenched source,dead snakes,rats and other dead animals were in the source.The Ignorance of Phe department has led to mayhem in Lolab.”
Now my submissive request to honourable Lg administration and Chief engineer Phe department that for god-sake safeguard these natural resources and speed up the cleaning process of these sources.I am also putting it on record that if god-forbid some unforeseen incident happened due to these diseases to any citizen of the area.The department will be held liable.”He further added – (The VOK Web Desk).
