A demolition drive was carried out by Watershed Management Division and Enforcement Wing of Lakes & Waterways Development Authority, jointly at Dignitbal (Kootergund Nallah) in presence of Watershed Manager and Enforcement Officer.
The Kootergund Nallah was encroached and blocked by some miscreants by making stone blocks as well as tin wall around his land adjoining the said nallah. During the drive, tin wall and stone blocks were dismantled both manually and with JCB also. However the nallah has not been restored yet which will be done within a day or two.
It is hereby directed to the people not to go for any illegal construction/ encroachments in and around the Dal and its catchment area otherwise stringent action under rules may be taken against the miscreant.
