13 year girl critical after attempting to commit suicide in Beerwah
Budgam, Aug 7, : A teenage girl tried to end her life at home by allegedly committing suicide in Peth Zaingam, Beerwah area of central Kashmiri’s Budgam district on Friday.
An official told news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that a teenage girl (name withheld) aged 13 years a resident of Peth Zaingam, Beerwah consumed some poisonous substances at her home.
Soon after the incident she fell unconscious and family members of the girl immediately shifted her to SDH Beerwah from where she was referred to SMHS hospital Srinagar in critical condition.
Meanwhile, a police official told KDC that they have taken cognizance of the incident and investigations are on.
Pertinently, Suicide cases are on rise in Budgam district as many cases were reported from this month. (KDC)
