74th INDEPENDENCE DAY 2020 CELEBRATED IN DISTRICT GANDERBAL WITH COVID-19 NORMS AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS
Ganderbal: 15 August, 2020 :Today on 15.08.2020 74th Independence day 2020 was celebrated in District ganderbal with highest fervor wherein tricolor was unfurled at each teshil level. The main function in this behalf was held at sports stadium Gudaara in which Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Shri shafqat iqbal as chief guest alongwith SP ganderbal shri Khalil poswal unfurled the national flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the parade
Principal District & Sessions Judge Ganderbal Shri Mohd Yousuf wani, Registrar central university Professor Mohd Asgar, ADC Ganderbal Shri Farooq Ahmad Baba, DySP HQRS Dr Abdul Majid-JKPS, DySP OPS Shri S.M Shafi besides other senior officers of civil administration/ Police Department were present on the occasion.
The parade was commanded by DySP DAR Ganderbal Shri Umar Rashid-JKPS.
The participating Contingents were representing CRPF, BSF, SSB, JKP Band, District Police Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police & Home Guard.
Moreover Health Department workers, Youth Service and Sports department and Municipal Corporation were present on the occasion in view of COVID 19 pandemic.
Besides, colorful cultural programmes were presented and awards were given to the best performers by the chief guest.“`
Good number of people witnessed the function as elaborate security arrangement were made by the District Police Ganderbal in this behalf.
