Man killed after fight over online game PUBG

JAMMU: A man was killed here allegedly by three persons after an altercation over playing popular online game PUBG, officials said on Monday.

Raj Kumar, Bikram Jeet and Rohit Kumar were playing the online game, when Daleep Raj objected and asked them not to make noise, they said.

Later, Daleep was allegedly attacked by the three men with a log of wood and he died on the spot, the officials said.

The incident took place in Badyal Qazian village of R S Pura tehsil in Jammu district and the three accused have been arrested, they said.(PTI)

Restrictions imposed in parts of Kathua district after violent protests at Lakanpur Toll Post  Jammu, Aug 04 (KNO): Authorities on Tuesday morning imposed restrictions in areas falling under jurisdiction of two police stations in Kathua district after violent protests broke out at newly established Toll Post at Lakhanpur leaving four people injured.  “Restrictions are being imposed in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kathua and Police Station Lakhanpur,” Senior Superintendent of Police Kathua Shailendra Mishra told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). “Stay at home and stay safe. Any gathering shall attract police action.”  Meanwhile, violent protests broke out in the Lakhanpur area on Monday late evening.  Official sources said that on Monday late evening, few local men from Lakhanpur had verbal duel with staff of toll post against the alleged overpaying of toll and verbal duel turned into scuffle in which three local men sustained multiple injuries.  “Soon after the news of injuries to local men spread in the area, people rushed to the toll post and vandalized the toll past damaging it’s infrastructure,” said sources.  They added that a police force rushed to the spot to calm the tempers. “Senior Superintendent of Police Kathua himself reached the spot and managed to pacify the protesters,” sources said—(KNO)  Indo-Pak armies trade gunfire along LoC in Mendhar  Poonch, Aug 04 (KNO): The armies of India and Pakistan on Tuesday exchanged gunfire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Krishna Ghati sector of Sub Division Mendhar in Poonch district.  Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that on Tuesday morning, Pakistan army violated ceasefire and resorted to unprovoked firing  in areas of Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district.  Many areas including Dabraj, Sagra, Balnoi and others have got affected, they said.  “Pakistan Army used High Explosive 120 mm mortar shells to target areas,” he said, adding that around half a dozen houses were partially damaged while around ten to twelve cattle were also injured.  The intermittent firing and shelling was going on when the report was last filed—(KNO)
