Court rejects bail of 60 year old rape accused
Srinagar, Sep 25, : Chief Judicial Magistrate rejected the bail of a rape accused through virtual mode on Friday.
Pertinently, father of a minor girl (17) had registered a complaint that a 60 year old man identified as Nazir Khuru of Pamposh Colony Noorbagh area of Srinagar has tarnished the chastity of her daughter.
Accordingly Police Station Safa Kadal as per KNT, arrested the accused and registered a case vide FIR number 13/2020 under section 176 against him.
During the course of investigation it was found that victim is 6 months pregnant.
The accused is currently languishing in Jail while he had applied for bail through his Counsel which the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Gowhar Majid Dalal rejected outrightly after hearing the arguments and counter arguments. (KNT)
