Kulgam Police seized 12 Rice and 06 Bags of Govt Flour meant for black Marketing, arrested duo

Kulgam, Dec 28: During intervening night of 27/28 Dec, 2020 a Naka was established at DPL Crossing Kulgam where police party led by I/C SHO Kulgam SI Imtiyaz Malik under the supervision of DySP HQRs Kulgam Shri. Ghulam Mohd Bhat-JKPS intercepted a vehicle bearing Registration No.JK03-9155 and while checking the vehicle officers found Govt. Flour 6 bags weighing 45 Kg each and Govt. Rice12 bags weighing 50 Kg each loaded in it.

The persons namely Aejaz Ahmad Dar S/O Mushtaq Ahmad Dar R/O Shamispora Bijbhera (Driver) and Farooq Ahmad Dar S/O Mohd Amin Dar
R/O Shamispora Bijbhera (Condutor) while questioning revealed that the said Rice and Flour present in the vehicle is meant for Black Marketing.

Both the persons were arrested on spot and Recovered Govt. Rice and Flour was seized alongwith vehicle used for commission of crime.

Regarding the incident Case FIR No 231/2020 U/S 409 IPC, 3/7 EC Act stands registered in police Station Kulgam and further investigation is in process.

Kulgam Police requests the general public to come forward with any information regarding social crimes in their vicinity and warns strict action as per law against those whosoever found indulging in any kind of anti-social activity.
