01 M4 Rifle Also recovered from slain militant
Srinagar, March 27: One militant was killed while as three army troopers were injured in a Gunfight at Wangam area in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday.
Official sources told GNS, that one militant was killed and three army soldiers recieved bullet wounds in an encounter, however identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained.
One American made assault M4 Rifle was also recovered from the slain militant.
Earlier Reports reaching GNS that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Wangam.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.(GNS)
