Elderly woman dies of Covid-19 in Kashmir capital Srinagar

Srinagar, Apr 14: A septuagenarian woman died of Covid-19 here in a Srinagar hospital this morning.

Sources told KNT that a 72-year-old woman (name withheld), a resident of Lal Bazar area of Srinagar city was undergoing treatment at SKIMS Srinagar after she was tested Covid-19 positive.

Sources added that the woman passed away this morning. She was suffering from pneumonia.

Pertinently, due to rise in Covid-19 cases, schools have been closed in Jammu and Kashmir.

Srinagar has 32638 positive cases with 3080 Active Positive, 29078 recovered (including 176 cases recovered today), 480 deaths; Baramulla has 9895 positive cases with 819 Active Positive, 8893 recovered (including 84 cases recovered today), 183 deaths; Budgam reported 8678 positive cases with 378 active positive cases, 8177 recovered, 123 deaths; Pulwama has 6167 positive cases with 198 Active Positive, 5877 recovered and 92 deaths; Kupwara has 6057 positive cases 218 Active Positive, 5741 recoveries, 98 deaths; Anantnag district has 5439 positive cases with 226 Active Positive, 5114 recovered, 99 deaths; Bandipora has 4901 positive cases with 127 Active Positive, 4711 recoveries and 63 deaths; Ganderbal has 4825 positive cases with 95 Active Positive, 4681 recoveries and 49 deaths; Kulgam has 3040 positive cases with 196 Active Positive, 2788 recoveries and 56 deaths while as Shopian has 2726 positive cases 77 active positive cases, 2609 recoveries and 40 deaths.
