Anantnag, May 28: Police have identified the two youths killed in a road accident at Mir Bazar area in this South Kashmir district as Majid Rahim Kanue and Shahid Ahmad Malla.
Duty Officer Mir Bazar, Imtiyaz Ahmad told GNS that the two youths riding on a bike – Yamaha Fazer – bearing registration number JK-03J 2738 were hit by an unknown vehicle, resulting in their on-spot death.
“Majid Rahim Kanue in care of Abdul Rahim Kanue is a resident of Boon Gund Duru and the other deceased is identified as Shahid Ahmad Malla son of Abdul Rashid Malla, a resident Naikpora Herpora of Boon Gund Dooru”, the official said.
Meanwhile the official said that it was a ‘hit and run case’. He said a case has been registered under relevant sections of law and due investigations have been set in motion to bring the culprits to justice. (GNS)
