Today on 31st May 2021 world no Tobacco Day is celebrated all over the world. In this connection our institution also had organised an online awareness programme on the theme “COMMIT TO QUIT” in which all the staff members of the institution participated along with a good numbers of students. Today’s guest of honour was worthy Director School Education Kashmir Dr Tassaduq Hussain Mir, Joint Director school education kashmir Mr. Shams ud din, Chief education officer srinagar, Mr Manzoor Ahmad Kumar, and Dr Nazir Mushtaq Senior consultant, who share their expert views with us . Further, Dr Suraiya Ameen Basu, Vice Principal of the institution presented the keynote and gave the historical background of said day. Dr. Dilshada Tabassum, Dr. Sheezan Rasool and Dr. Jahangir khan also gave speeches on worst impact of tabacco on human respiratory system, Tabacco as killer and Tabacco & its effects on youth respectively.
Lastly I presented the vote of thanks to all the esteemed guests, Lecturer’s and students who took part in the webinar and I also thank Doordarshan khendar and All India Radio kashmir who coverage this whole programme.
