Nasir Hussain said , that senior doctors associated with Government hospitals of Kashmir Valley visit the hospital in the morning for rounds and then “disappear” leaving the burden to handle the hospital on junior doctors, mostly GMC student’s & BUMS Doctors sources claimed.

Nasir Hussain said, as per the general public Maximum Head of Departments & other Senior Doctors of Government hospitals spend more time in their private clinics & Hospitals instead of Government Hospitals where they are getting handsome Salaries of More than Rs 1Lakh per Month he added.

Nasir Hussain said that patients visiting these hospitals during night hours also face many hardships. “Absence of senior doctors leads to many eventualities which go unreported and are passed as normal deaths,” he added.

Nasir Hussain said”Hundreds of people visit the SMHS, Lal Ded and other hospitals everyday and scores are referred from various district headquarters but the fact is the Senior Doctors are never checking them properly as general public claiming. These Doctors are always trying to Show them the door of their private Clinics & Hospitals.
Doctors for financial gain concentrate their attention and work effort on private practice at the expense of public hospitals and private clinics. They use public hospitals as recruiting grounds for practice and orchestrate scenarios to generate business for their clinics. Maximum Head of Departments from these Hospitals are Compelling Patients to Visit their Private Hospitals and Clinics where they are looting them by prescribing heavy Tests with the direction they get these tests from a particular Place.

Nasir Hussain said, Dual practice creates a pervasive incentive for doctors to increase waiting times in government hospitals so that patients are forced to go to private hospitals.

Nasir Hussain also revealed that for gallbladder removal, patients are made to wait for a long period of time . Patients are made to wait for months for simple tests like ultrasound and echocardiography only to compel them to visit their private Business establishments otherwise each and every Facility is available almost in all Government Hospitals, They spend most of their time in private clinics and are not available for patients in government hospitals.

Nasir Hussain said, at a government hospital, a senior doctor operates a patient once a week and the same doctor operates every day a dozen patients in his private hospital with very poor facilities. Patients in government hospitals are left to the mercy of trainees who find it difficult to handle complicated cases. It is ironic that full-time government doctors are allowed to run private clinics.

Nasir Hussain said there is an immediate need to impose Clear Cut Ban in all Type of Private Practices of Government Doctors in their Private Clinics and Personnel Hospitals which will help to Bring Health Sector on Right Track .
