Bandipora, July 01: A 55-year old man was killed and other three injured from nomad tribal community during a scuffle over erection of tent at a meadow in Bandipora district.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Iqbal Kalas from Anderwat Rajouri.The scuffle started after locals opposed the nomads over erection of tent at a Kachi Behak Bandipora.
According to police officials on evening at Kachi Behak (meadow) a family of nomad who were establishing their tent for night were opposed by some persons of Panar village who attacked upon the nomads resulting injuries to Mohammad Iqbal Kalas S/o Mohammad Ali aged about 55 years resident of Anderwat Rajouri, Ranja Pokda S/o Methu aged about 70 years and Rohi Akther D/o Showket kathana R/o Anderwat Rajouri.
All the injured were shifted to District hospital Bandipora for treatment however on way one injured Mohd. Iqbal Kalas succumbed to his injuries. The dead body is lying in District Hospital Bandipora for porstmortam and other two injured have been admitted in the said hospital. Police have taken cognizance of the matter and registered a case against accussed persons.—(KNS)
