Sopore, July 16 : On the direction of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Bupinder Kumar-IAS, Block Medical Officer (BMO) Sopore on Friday organized a Sehat Mela in Sopore block in order to facilitate benificerias under Sehat Scheme.
A Mela was organized at Nowpora, Badam Bagh (C) and Bagh e Rehmat areas of block Sopore by Block Medical Officer (BMO) Sopore to facilitate people to get registered themselves under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Yojna (AB-PMJAY) Sehat scheme.
Mela was organized in coordination with CSC staff and civil societies.
Block Medical Officer (BMO) Sopore, Dr Zulfiqar Ahmed was accompanied by the Incharge PMAM (AyushMan Bharat) SDH Sopore, Mudasir Nazir.
While talking with Incharge Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) SDH Sopore Mudasir Nazir, he said, Mela was organized in block Sopore for the benificerias to get register themselves under Sehat scheme.
The benificerias will get the Universal Healthcare Coverage (UHC) as per the SECC 2011 database, he added.
Pertinently, Prime minister of India, Narendra Modi launched a scheme, Ayushman Bharat Pradhan mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) SEHAT scheme for Jammu and Kashmir residents which benefits as many as 21 lakh eligible people on the basis of Socio-Economic and Caste Censes (SECC).
