Capt Vishal Bhandral KC Memorial Volleyball Premier League 2021
Bandipora, August 21: In an endeavor to provide opportunity to talented youth from remote areas to showcase their sporting process, 14 RR of Manasbal Sector organised Capt Vishal Bhandral, KC Memorial Volleyball Premier League-2021 at Bapura Army Camp from 18 Jul to 20 Aug.
The tournament was played on league-cum-knock-out basis wherein 20 Teams from the Bandipora District participated with great zeal & enthusiasm. The finals was played on 20 Aug between Sublime Volleyball Club of Chitibandi and Hussain Sports Club of Bapura wherein the former won by 3-2.
The match was witnessed by a large audience to include the Chief Guest, CO 14 RR. The winning team was awarded cash prize of Rs 12,000 while the runners up were awarded Rs 8,000. Mr Shakir of the Sublime Volleyball Club was adjudged the best player and awarded Rs 2,000 as cash prize.
The chief guest addressed the august gathering after the event wherein he praised the skill as well as sportsmanship of the participating teams. He motivated the youth to believe in themselves and focus on constructive activities. He urged them to imbibe the qualities of sportsmanship which resonate so well with the essence of Kashmiriyat.
