Police using new technology to prevent theft incidents: SP East Tanushree
Srinagar, Nov 29, KNT: Police Monday said that installation of CCTV cameras can prevent incidents of theft and crime.
While talking to reporters, SP East Srinagar, Tanushree said that police is using latest technology to prevent incidents of theft. She said incidents of theft rise during winters as more and more people shift to Jammu in wake of harsh winter.
“We request public to install CCTV cameras so that incidents of theft can be stopped. We also appeal people not to keep jewellery in their abandoned houses and take all precautions before leaving the houses,” she said.
To a question, Tanushree said that a number of cases have been registered against drug peddlers and strict action is being taken against those indulging in social crime. (KNT)
