Awantipora Encounter: Militant killed, operation on
Srinagar, December 12:(GNS) An unidentified militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter at Baragam area of Awantipora in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday.
A senior police officer told GNS that one militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter, whose body can been seen lying at encounter site.
Earlier Reports reaching GNS that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Baragam.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.(GNS)
