Bandipora, 16 Feb: Sundas Jan Daughter of Mohammad Yousuf Jan, a student from Girls Higher Secondary in Bandipora, has secured 100 per cent marks in the Class 10th board exams.

She has obtained 500 out of 500 marks. she said the Covid-19 pandemic emerged as an an “opportunity” for her. “I made the best usage of smart phones and my doubts were cleared on the call by the teachers. My parents, sisters also supported me throughout the year. It was not easy, but it was made possible with the support of my well wishers,” she said.

She said she did not follow any fixed or regular timetable throughout the year. I did not have any timetable.I don’t even believe in that. Whenever I like to study a subject, I study it till I get bored. This particular approach, I believe, makes me 100 per cent efficient.”

The Board of Secondary Education (BOSE) on wednesday declared the class 10th results. Daughter of Retired teacher, Sundas Jan, got 500 marks out of 500 and has become the first student from the Bandipora area who topped the matriculation result declared today, on the grade system basis.

Sundas was studying in Girls Higher Secondary School Bandipora. She thanked  parents and teachers who helped her in securing first position in the district. ” I feel proud as I am getting appreciation from everyone here, which inspires me more”.

Sundas further said that she was always studying with positive intentions in all the situations which proved successful.

While giving a message to the young generation of Kashmir, she said that everyone must chase their dreams with positive intentions in their mind, which will help them a lot literally. Her parents also expressed happiness and said that they both wish to see her shine always.
