Srinagar, June 06: DDC Member Khimber Kaiser Ganei on Monday expressed dismay over the dilapidated condition of a single storey building meant for opening up PHC in Khimber.
In his statement to the press, Ganei remarked that due to sheer administrative negligence people of the area have been suffering badly in absence of a well-maintained and functional health facility.
“The patients in the area have to travel to the nearby PHC’s for treatment and most of the times they have to undergo through unspeakable hardships in for getting medical consultation. Even in certain emergency cases people have suffered irretrievable losses,” he said.
Ganai appealed to the Director Health Department to take serious cognizance of this long pending problem so that sufferings of the people in the area are alleviated.
“Having acess to health facility is right of every citizen in a welfare state and I urge the concerned authorities especially Department of Health to take speedy action for making this deserted health facility full functional where people can get medical treatment without any hurdles and inconvenience.
