Awantipora, June 15, A speeding vehicle crushed a pedestrian to death on the Srinagar-Anantnag highway on Wednesday.
Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a speeding unknown vehicle hit a pedestrian identified as Muhammad Ashraf Dar son of Abdul Rehman resident of Katipora near Charsoo on the Srinagar-Anantnag highway.
The victim died on the spot while the driver fled away from the spot.
Awantipora Police Station in this regard registered an FIR vide number 125/2022 U/S 279, 340-A and taken up investigation. (KNT)
