Budgam, July 9 A sweeper from Municipal Committee Budgam died while the driver sustained critical injuries after the tractor turned turtle near old dumping site in Mamat village of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Saturday.
Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a tractor from Municipal Committee Budgam was heading towards old dumping site in Mamat to dump the garbage when the tractor overturned suddenly.
Besides the driver, the sweeper sustained serious injuries and were shifted to District Hospital Budgam where the sweeper identified as Muhammad Amin of Khag was declared dead by the doctors while the driver Muhammad Iqbal, a resident of Hakanpora Budgam is undergoing treatment.
Police in this regard have registered a case under relevant sections of law. (KNT)
