Handwara, July 19, Residents of Badrah Payeen Qaziabad area of North Kashmir’s Handwara are up in arms against the Roads and Buildings (R&B) department for failing to repair the dilapidated road despite repeated requests.
The locals hit to road and staged a protest to attract the attention of the authorities.
Protesters said that the road between Bicherwara to Badrah Payeen is dotted with countless potholes and despite making requests and pleas from past one year, nothing was done to macadamize this vital link road.
Alleging that the district administration has been adopting a negligent approach towards the area, the locals said that they are facing immense hardships.“ Due to bad condition of road the commuters are facing immense problems”, locals alleged and appealed to the R&B to macadamize this road at an earliest.
