Four militants killed in district in last 24 hours, slain in Drach were involved in killing of SPO, non local labourer: ADGP

Shopian, Oct 05: A local LeT militant has been killed in a gunfight that broke out between militants and government forces at Drach village in Police district Shopian, taking number of militants killed in district in last 24 hours to 04
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a joint team of police, Army and CRPF after receiving information about the presence of militants launched search operation in the area.
He said that as the joint team of forces intensified searches towards suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the party, which was retaliated, thus triggering an encounter.
He said during exchange of fire, a local militant affiliated with LeT has been killed while operation is on in the area.
Earlier three local JeM militants were killed in a night long encounter in Drach area of Shopian district.
Meanwhile ADGP Kashmir said that militants slain were Drach were involved in killing of SPO Javed Dar and a labourer from West Bengal
