Srinagar, Dec 6: The government has suspended ARTO on corruption charges in Jammu and Kashmir.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that Transport Department this evening issued an order about the suspension of Assistant Regional Transport Officer Mr Jamsheed Rasool Chaudhary who is currently In Chargr ARTO Poonch.
He has been placed under suspension for his alleged involvement in a corruption case filed against him by Anti Corruption Bureau Srinagar, the then Assistant Regional Transport
Officer (ARTO), Budgam.
The accused officer has been attached with the Office of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir while as Syed Shahnawaz, Regional Transport officer, Kashmir, has been appointed as ‘Inquiry officer’to conduct an in-depth enquiry into the allegations leveled against Jamsheed Rasool Chaudhary, and furnish his report and recommendations to the Adminlstrative Department within one month.
