Baramulla, June 27 (LoC World): Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A Police party of Police Post Kamalkote headed by IC PP Kamalkote at a checkpoint established at Hardu Kamalkote Uri, intercepted a person identified as Abdul Khaliq Khatana son of Sadir Din resident of Kamalkote Uri. During search,2 Kgs of Cannabis Powder was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Uri where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Uri and investigation has been initiated.
