Kulgam, December 12: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Kulgam Police have arrested a drug peddler at Yaripora and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A Police party of Police Station Yaripora during Naka checking intercepted a vehicle (Auto) bearing registration number *JK18D-4779* at Yaripora. During search, *900 grams of Cannabis Powder* recovered. The said person (driver) identified as Sajad Ahmad Khar son of Mohd Abdullah Khar resident of Kharpora was arrested on spot and vehicle used in commission of crime has been seized.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 92/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Yaripora and further investigation has been initiated.

People are requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that police will act tough against the criminals as per law.
