Srinagar, Apr 11: Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday appointed Member Parliament Mian Altaf Ahmad on Rajouri-Anantnag Parliamentary constituency, as member of the Jammu and Kashmir Union territory Haj Committee.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 17(1) and 18(1) of the Haj Committee Act, 2002 (35 of 2002) read with rule 20 of the Haj Committee Rules, 2002, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir hereby appoints Shri Mian Altaf Ahmad, Member of Parliament, Rajouri-
Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency as member of the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Haj Committee,” reads an order, a copy of which lies with news agency Kashmir Bulletin.
“The term of the member shall be co-terminous with the members appointed vide notification S.O. 344 of 20.07.2022,” reads the order further. (KB)
