Poonch, Dec 27: Two residential houses were completely gutted in a fire incident in Village Arai, falling under Tehsil Mandi of Poonch district, officials said on Saturday.
Officials told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, The houses belonged to Gulam Din Tantry, son of Mohammad Abdullah, and Abdul Qayoom, son of Gulam Din, both residents of the same village.
Fire and Emergency Services rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flames, preventing further damage.
However, household goods and property worth lakhs were reportedly destroyed. No loss of life or injuries were reported in the incident, they said.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known. (KNC)
