Srinagar: Janat Khan 26 years old female singer hailing from Zukura area of district Srinagar holding bachelor’s degree in music and pursuing Masters degree from Punjab Music Khalsa College had been Gold medalist for her melodious voice and wishing out of the hearts, changes the scale of life.
During an interview Janat said that she had started her journey when she was just 7 years old.She was very much concerned with music and never gave up on it. She used to sing in school and college but then she started giving her passion a shape. She sang in “The Voice of Kashmir” by Bakhtawar , not only this she got selected in “Rising Star” Indian version of the international franchise series Rising Star,a reality television singing competition in Mumbai.
Music is a part of every known society, past and present, and is common to all human cultures across the globe.The emotions caused by music, the attitudes of its composers and players, and the venues it is played can also vary from time to time and place to place. The music one person loves might be painful for another to listen to, and vice versa.“Music expresses feeling and thought, without language; it was below and before speech, and it is above and beyond all words.”
Taking part in this professional and side by side keeping in view the environment of society it was very difficult for me to get into this profession for being considered literally a target to be talked about. But I never paid attention to this and continued my journey.She had been a gold medalist in senior singing category for The talent of Youth online dance and singing competition which was organized by Youth Dance Villa
Institute.
Not just being a singer Janat is a music composer, she herself composes the lyrics and then she sings it herself too. She had worked in many movies.She had cleared the auditions for insight films which is a British film and television company, founded by Debbie Shuter and Adam Tysoe in 1995. She had also been part of Netwood which is an OTT platform, a video streaming and sharing content provider.
Janat also sings in Kashmiri because she is very fond of promoting the verses of Kashmiri songs.Eventually doing this all makes her proud about the tradition and culture of Kashmir. She is working in a project of short Tollywood film, the shooting of which is going to take place within some period of time.
During the end of the interview Janat put forward her views that we all have dreams.Maybe yours is to be the best at something in school or at work, at a sport or some other passion.Or to make the trip somewhere in the world that you’ve been thinking about for years now.Or to improve your financial situation, social skills, find that special someone or to get into great shape.
Sometimes it’s hard to keep your dream alive.And at other times your dreams can remain just daydreams for far too long.But just don’t give up , follow your dreams and have the power to achieve it no matter what. “Like success, failure is many things to many people. With positive mental attitude, failure is a learning experience, a rung on the ladder, and a plateau at which to get your thoughts in order to prepare to try again”.
