Srinagar: During the investigation of the Case FIR No 17/2023 U/S 382-IPC shergari police station, all the three accused persons were arrested namely:-
1. Junaid Ahmad Sheikh S/o Bashir Ahmad sheikh R/o Illahi Bagh Ahmadnagar.
2. Ubaid Khan S/o Bilal Ahmad Khan R/o Palpora.
3. Ishfaq Ahmad Dar S/o Ab Majeed Dar R/O Rangpora Ilahibagh from whose possession mobile phone belonging to the Complainant has been recovered.
During the further course of investigation it came to fore that the Complainant namely Farooq Ahmad Dar S/o Mohd Ramzan Dar R/o Shahgund Bandipora had purchased 13 bottles of liquor from wine shop Sonwar Srinagar(same is fully corroborated by technical evidences like cctv, mobile tower analysis)
The 3 accused persons stopped the complainant at Hari Singh High Street & he left his bag with alcohol bottles and his mobile phone, fled away from the spot and hide himself inside a nearby building and left the area later while covering his face. The accused persons took away the said bag and mobile phone of the complainant and fled.
It is pertainant to mention that no cash was taken away from the complainant as claimed. The complainant is doing the business of purchasing/ selling the liquor. The investigation was done using various Technical evidences Viz CCTV footages, CD-R/ Tower Locations etc.
The statement of the complainant before the media is not based on facts and has claimed baseless allegations of money loot. Moreover the Complainant has mislead the police by his fake and baseless statement about money. Action for false statement will be taken as per section 203 of IPC against him as well.
Public is requested to kindly report exact property stolen or looted and not make fake claims for malafide financial benefits.
Further, CCTV cameras played a huge role in this case and citizens are requested to install them for large public good.
