June 16: On 14-06-2024 Police Post Old Town Baramulla received a written application from Intizamia Committee of Masjid Madina Dargah Aaliya Old Town Baramulla stating therein that donation box (saife) of the Masjid Sharief has been looted by some theives during the night.
In this regard case FIR 142/2024 u/s 479 IPC was registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigation was started.
During the investigations, and technical analysis of the case, accused was identified as Waseem Ahmad Chichek son of Abdul Gaffar resident of Lal Baab Sahab Arampora Sopore and was arrested for the offences committed. During de-briefing alleged accused confessed to crime and led to the place where he has concealed the stolen property, leading to the recovery of stolen property.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
