Man who served people throughout his life and contributed to the development and upliftment of Ganderbal, left for heavenly abode; Demise widely condoled

Ganderbal: Haji Ali Mohammed Bhat of Wakura Ganderbal who was a born leader and the most humble human being lost the battle of life early morning on Friday, September 04, 2020 and left for heavenly abode. The man left the world but the contributions made by him to uplift the standard of political and physical development of Ganderbal would be remembered ever after.

Haji Ali Mohammed Bhat got involved with politics at a very young age. He started getting influenced by the Indian National Congress leadership in his teen age and there he decided to get associated with the largest political setup of the country.

Haji lead the Congress party in the region and started deep rooting it in Ganderbal. Besides, Haji remained in the good books of party high command and earned great respect among the senior political icons of the Pradesh Congress Committee in J&K.

His work and the care for people made him stay very close to the leaders like Gh Nabi Azad, Prof. Soz and others.

It was the consistent service and devotion for INC that made him to get to the Legislative Council of J&K and he served as MLC from 2007 to 2013 during the Coalition rule in J&K.

During his career, he put in all his efforts to see the foundation laying of CUK, construction of ISM Hospital and College in Nawabbagh. He played an important role in getting Ganderbal a separate district during Azad’s rule in 2007.

Haji Ali Mohammed was considered to be a down to earth noble soul who regarded and respected people belonging to different sections of life. It is said that he never denied to help anyone whether in his political or personal capacity. His role in getting Wakura block status later sanction and upgradation to Tehsil, backward status of many downtrodden villages would never be forgotten by the people of his vicinity.

Haji Ali Mohammed’s death was widely condoled and not only the congress leadership,luetenent Governor j&,k Manoj sinha , Veteran politician and National Conference sr. leader Mian Altaf Ahmad, Ali Mohd sagar , Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar, Politician Sheikh GA Saloora, and many other politicians, bureaucrats, members of religious and civil society groups and media fraternity also condoled the sad demise and have prayed for the departed soul.

Haji Ali Mohammed Bhat was among those political leaders who are always remembered for all their contributions to the societies they belong to.

May Almighty Allah forgive his soul and place him at peace in the lovely part of Jannah. AAMEEN!
