District Administration Anantnag holds public outreach programme at Block Achabal
ANANTNAG, OCTOBER 06: District Administration Anantnag headed by DDC, K.K. Sidha and in presence of visiting officer also Director Libraries, Sheikh Arshid Ayoub, today conducted a public outreach programme at Kadpora Panchayat Halqa of Achabal Block.
The programme was attended by a large number of people, representatives of Auqaf, civil society members and the agriculture community. They apprised the DDC of various issues they are confronting with.
The DDC after giving patient hearing to their issues assured that the same shall be taken with the concerned authorities for their time bound redressal.
He asked the public to avail benefits under various welfare schemes like ISSS, Ladli Beti, Labour Card, Job Card, marriage assistance, Soil health card, and prosthetic aids for specially abled people, Ayushman Bharat Golden Card etc.
The DDC also asked the public to take advantage of the B2V3 which is aimed at assessment of needs and to enlist their demands and grievances before visiting officers which will help in plan formation for next year and added that Visiting Officers are taking stock of the status of work done of demands raised in B2V1 & B2V2 held during 2019.
The DDC directed the BDO & civil society members to identify 02 educated youth from each Panchayat halqa so that financial assistance can be provided to them for their self-employment.
He also asked the youth to come forward and register themselves with District Administration to avail professional coaching for sports, competitive exams and added that the District Administration is preparing a comprehensive Skill database of the youth so that they can be provided training in multiple skills as per their potential.
The DDC directed the BDO to identify the students of weaker sections of society so that District Administration can provide financial assistance for higher education, Books and uniforms.
The DDC on the occasion asked people to strictly adhere to Covid-19 guidelines and appealed them to go for Covid testing.
