FIR AGAINST PERSON TRAVELLING FROM OUTSIDE OF UT J&K THROUGH VARIOUS PROHIBITED RED ZONES

Today on 15.04.2020, District Police Samba lodged a FIR against person who was trying to reach home at Mangu Chack, Rajpura from Ambala, Haryana crossing various prohibited Red Zones enroute his journey.
Acting on reliable information that a person was travelling from Ambala to Ghagwal amidst lockdown across the country, Police Party of P/S Ghagwal swung into action and traced out the said delinquent person namely Swaran Singh S/o Jabar Singh R/O Mangu Chack, Rajpura, Ghagwal and immediately put to Quarantine Centre Shivam Resort, Ghagwal with the assistance of Health Department.
On questioning the said delinquent person disclosed that he was trying to reach home after taking lift in a truck carrying essential commodities from Ambala, Haryana.
The said person knows that the disease is dangerous to life but despite that he negligently/malignantly has done this act by travelling from Ambala, Haryana to Ghagwal, crossed various Red Zones all the way, hiding his travel history, thereby putting at risk the lives of his family members & general public at large. The said person negligently and malignantly promoted spreading of infectious and contagious disease COVID-19 dangerous to human beings.
As such, a Case FIR No. 32/2020 US 269/270/188 IPC got registered at P/S Ghagwal.
