BARAMULLA, MAY 5: The district administration Baramulla today announced that Indoor Sports Stadium Baramulla near Degree College Baramulla, has been converted into a fully equipped wellness center to treat COVID-19 patients.
Deputy Commissioner, Dr G N Itoo, while dedicating this vital facility to Corona patiens, informed that the health centre with capacity of 100 beds has all the requisite facilities to treat the COVID patients. All the COVID-19 patients have been shifted from GMC Baramulla to this newly established Center, he added.
He said that the move was taken keeping in view the convenience of general patients as there is a restriction of sorts in shifting out patients already receiving treatment for other conditions and since Indoor Stadium is a new building and has a lot of space, we decided to commandeer it for this specific purpose.
