Ganderbal ,May08,CNS:The authorities here in district Ganderbal declared Puttermulla and Pahli pora of Tehsil Lar as Red Zones and its surrounding villages Kondbal and Batpora as Buffer Zones.
Officials told CNS that the step was taken after two COVID-19 positive cases from village Puttermulla and Pahli pora were detected on 06 May from CD Hospital Srinagar and Bone And Joint Hospital .
District Magistrate Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal said that there would be no inward and outward movement of any person from the villages declared Red Zones and the people would stay in their homes to ensure complete lockdown and warned stern action against the violators as per provisions relevant Act.
The District Magistrate Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal, SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Poswal and ADM Ganderbal Farooq Ahmad Baba visited the areas to monitor the situation
Besides 37 people from Puttermulla and Pahli pora have been quarantined who are the primary contacts as per the initial reports, he added.
Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Wullar Mansbal Development Authority Ab Majeed (Mobile No.7889585995) who is nominated as Administrator of Red Zones and Buffer Zones, was directed to ensure facilitation of medical emergencies and supply of essential commodities as per laid down protocols in the villages covering both local residents and outside laborers and Tehsildar Lar was directed to ensure the implementation of the directions in letter and spirit.
