Till Trauma Hospital Is Made Functional Again, Arrange Few Doctors On War Footing Basis For The Residents Of Pattan Area: Malik Tariq Rashid
Awami Ittehad Party Led by incarcerated Leader Er Rashid has asked the administration of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to make the Old Sub District Hospital Pattan, a centrally located historical hospital, functional again to ease out the sufferings of the people of Pattan and its adjacent areas. In a statement issued today, Senior Leader and Provincial President of Awami Ittehad Party Malik Tariq Rashid has raised his serious concerns about the raising cases of Covid 19 especially from Pattan area. Malik, while lauding the role played by the front line warriors including Doctors, Paramedics, Civil Administration and other law making agencies said, “Since the outbreak of this corona virus pandemic that has wrecked havoc across the world, our front line warriors have been working day in and out to serve the mankind by putting their own lives at risk”. He further added that from past one week, there has been a surge in the cases, pregnant women have become a soft target as they are more vulnerable to the disease since they have to visit Hospitals for necessary check up and follow ups.
“We all are familiar that Trauma Hospital Pattan was designated as a referral hospital for Gynae Patients that were being referred from Sopore, Baramulla, Kreeri and other places for further treatment; all the necessary arrangements were put into place for the same”, read the statement. Malik said, now when the Trauma Hospital has been temporarily been closed due to many patients turning covid positive, The administration led by Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor is requested to make the old hospital of Pattan functional again and direct the concerned to do all the needed actions. “Old Hospital Pattan is lying vacant as of now and can be used as the best possible alternative for hassle free functioning of OPD services”, Malik added. We cannot make people suffer during these hard times, it is our collective responsibility to work for the overall betterment of our society, reads the statement.
