Massive demolition drive was launched by the Lakes and Waterways Development Authority through its Enforcement Wing in the area of Rakh-i-Arth Housing Colony Bemina headed by dynamic officer Mr. Rayees Sahab along with the Executive Engineer Lake div 2nd, Magistrate (N.T) and concerned sub-divisional staff of Rakh-i-Arth. Almost 5-6 illegal sheds were demolished and board from plots illegally encroached upon by the locals for graveyard was also removed. The team of territorial Police Officers of Bemina , DSP , SHO and D.O were of great help and the demolition drive was successful due to joint effort of territorial police officers , DSP Enforcement wing of the Authority, Executive Engineer LD-2nd , Magistrate and sub-divisional staff.
Furthermore, earth filling was also removed in two places where the violators dumped the earth in order to develop plots illegally. It was learnt that these violators/Drals were trying to prepare plots in order to make colonies illegally in the Rakh-i-arth for their vested interests. Moreover, in the area of Kohnakahna dalgte a two room structure and CGI sheets raised on shops were demolished / removed onspot.
In this regard, it is once again directed to all the public residing within the LDA jurisdiction & inlake are hereby once again directed not to go for any sort of illegal constructions/ encroachments, as the Enforcement wing will continue with demolition of illegal constructions/ removal of encroachments. Moreover the Tipper/Load carried owners are directed not carry / ferry any construction material in the prohibited area of Dal/ Nigeen Lake without getting permission and in case anybody found shall be dealt as per law.
