Of the 152 people Mehbooba Mufti follows on Twitter, only 3 are from Bhartiya Janata Party. They include the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister for Railways, Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal.

When Mehbooba Mufti started her innings on Twitter, she was seen following more BJP leaders than her own party stalwarts. Once she used to follow BJP leaders like Amit Shah, Ram Madhav, Nirmala Sitaraman and others but she has unfollowed all.

There are only two Government of India pages whom she follows. These include the Office of the Prime Minister of India and the Office of the Defense Minister of India.

From her own party she follows leaders and workers like Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, Mir Muhammad Fayaz, Dar Harbakash Singh, Mohit Bhan, Syed Suhail Bukhari, Ajaz Mir, Waheed Parra, Tahir Sayed, Najmu Saqib, Firdous Tak, Advocate Abdul Haq, Safina Beg and others.

She has also unfollowed Imran Raza Ansari but continues to follow Sajad Gani Lone.

After the abrogation of Article 370 and annulment of Special Status of Jammu and Kashmir, it seems Mehbooba Mufti started following people with liberal and secular ideology. Most of the people she currently follows are top most Journalists, intellectuals, writers and columnists known for their liberal thoughts.

Mehbooba Mufti also follows some top faces from Pakistan including the Prime Minister Imran Khan, Bilawal Zardari Bhato, Journalist Hamid Mir, Columnist Mehr Tarar and others.

From local government face, she follows District Development Commissioner Srinagar Dr Shahid Iqbal Chowdary.

She also follows some faces from Indian politics like DMK Spokesperson Dr P Thiaga Rajan, TMC leader and Rajya Sabha member Derek O’Brien, besides following once her ‘bête noire Omar Abdullah. (KNT)
