Srinagar, Mar, 05: Meet Bilqis Rather 15 years old Girl hailing from Bugroo area of district Budgam ,who is a gold medalist and international player of Pencak Silat. She has represented Kashmir 05 times on national level, 05 times on state level and 05 times on district level.
During conversation Bilqis said, that she she had started playing from 2017 and in the same year she had played her first nationals which were held in Mumbai. She had represented Kashmir 02 times on national level in 2018 she played in Assam and followed by the same in 2019 in Haryana and Nasikh where she had been gold medalist.
Apart from this she has represented India in world Championship which was held at Thailand in 2018 .She is pursing Law but side by side wants to continue her dreams and wants to take part in Asian Games.
In the beginning of this game I was unable to know what will be the next for me in this field but I feel like I am much enough lucky that I got a full support from my parents who encourage me and allow me and gave me full freedom to go everywhere for playing and also the dedication and hard work of my instructors who always guide and trained me for this game I represent and played in many sates for my kashmir.
Most of the youth is ignoring sports but I want to tell them that you get try to take part in sports as it is having a great scope and at the end you could choose it as your profession too and also I request to all the parents to support their children’s for supports activities which can help kashmir to stress and drug free, the future of valley is in our own hands , it’s our responsibility to take the front and become the example for our upcoming generation.
Bilqis also urge to the administration to provide the platforms for the youth of valley as we have much talent as compare to the other states of our country but due to the lack of infrastructure and platforms we are unable to reveal that talent. We hope that in upcoming time our administration will take different initiatives and provide the facilities for the young talent of our valley so that we will make our nation feel proud.
