46 students felicitated in Handwara for memorising Holy Quran
Kupwara, Nov 20: At least 46 students were felicitated at Jamia Islamia High School Waripora Handwara on Friday for memorising whole 30 chapters of Holy Quran.

On this occasion a huge number of people across the district had come to witness the event.
Administrator of the school Ghulam Nabi Khamosh while talking to media said that at Jamia Islamia High School both contemporary and religious teachings are being rendered to students.
He said that 4th class pass out students were eligible to get enrolled here and presently the school has 250 students enrolled.
“Since it is a boarding school so students are being given boarding and lodging facilities for a meager monthly amount,” he added.
He said that the students here were doing good both in contemporary and religious studies.
“Several students who after memorising all 30 chapters of Holy Quran, have passed the 10th board examination with flying colors and even seven hufaz were appearing in this year’s 10th examination,” Khamosh added.
Khamosh said that need of the hour is to enlighten the new generation with both religious and contemporary studies so that they can become better humans.
